Corona Virus Precautions Implemented at LRC
The team at Lancaster Rehabilitation Center wants to ensure all those entrusted in our care, along with family members and volunteers that we are currently restricting any visitors until further notice. We plan to reevaluate the risks on a weekly basis and will provide updates as they become available. While the severity of the illness or how many people will fall ill is unknown at this time, we want to be ready to respond to a varying level of severity or need.
What You Can Do to Protect Yourself
Follow everyday preventive actions such as:
- washing your hands
- using alcohol-based hand sanitizers
- covering your cough, and
- staying home when you are sick
The CDC does not currently recommend the general public to use facemasks.
We always encourage families and visitors to be aware of the signs and symptoms of respiratory illness, and to visit with loved ones through alternative means while the no visitor policy is in place.
Our staff receives routine education and training on proper hand hygiene, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and their responsibility to stay home when sick.
We utilize an all systems emergency response approach – so we are familiar with the process of managing virus outbreaks. We will continue to take directives from our local and state emergency management partners, as well as utilize the CDC guidance.
As additional information becomes available, we will update you with our plan and response.
