To be the premier choice for compassionate care and the highest quality of life possible for those entrusted to us.
What makes Lancaster Rehabilitation so unique?
That’s easy! At Lancaster Rehabilitation we provide ALL levels of skilled care under one roof. Our skilled services include short term rehabilitation following a surgery or acute illness, traditional long term care, and dedicated neighborhoods for memory and behavioral care. As Nebraska’s largest skilled nursing facility, we are licensed to care for up to 293 residents on five different stations. Specifics regarding each station include:
Stations One & Two are each 60 bed neighborhoods primarily dedicated to traditional long-term care services. Complex assessment and observation skills are required for residents requiring tube feeding, tracheotomy care, and IV therapy. Therapy and restorative services are provided, along with hospice and palliative care. Team members must also support and manage behavioral and memory deficits for our residents.
Station Three is our short term rehabilitation unit, caring for 30 – 45 residents. Team members are specifically trained to encourage patients to meet their maximum potential and work to regain their independence in order to return to their home. The station consists of two wings: a wing dedicated for cardiac patients who admit after a recent heart surgery; and a wing available for short stay orthopedic recovery for patients who come in after a recent orthopedic surgery. The team will work on education for medication management, pain management alongside with therapy staff to regain their strength and independence to return home.
Station Four is a 61-bed neighborhood on our 2nd floor dedicated to both traditional long-term care, and behavioral support accommodations. The living environment is much like that found on Station’s one and two.
Station Five is our secure memory support neighborhood serving up to 42 residents in need of a safe, secure environment. Residents have access to a private outdoor solarium to use during good weather.
All stations are supported by dedicated activity, social service, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and ancillary staff.
